Minimum wage in Northern Cyprus 2023

In 2023, the minimum salary in Northern Cyprus before deduction of all fees is set at 18,103 Turkish lira.

This is used to calculate the amount that will need to be shown in a local bank account to obtain a residence permit.

How much money do you need for a residence permit?

These calculations are given for obtaining a residence permit for a period of 1 year. If you indicate a smaller amount in your bank statement, the inspector may issue a residence permit for 6 months.

Residence permit when purchasing real estate:

18,103 TL * 12 = 217,236 TL

Residence permit based on rent (high income):

18,103 TL * 12 * 3 = 651,708 TL

This amount does not have to be in Turkish lira; the equivalent in dollars, euros or British pounds is acceptable.
