  • AdaPass is mandatory for all travelers aged 18 and over.

The rules for entering Northern Cyprus from June 7, 2021, will depend on the country from which the passenger arrived. According to the criteria defined by the Ministry of Health of the TRNC, countries are categorized by official color codes into five categories:

  • dark red – passengers who have visited countries of the dark red category in the last 14 days, regardless of the presence of a vaccination certificate, require a negative PCR test for coronavirus (COVID-19), issued no later than 72 hours before departure, with ten days of quarantine. From 15.08.2021, entry is allowed for passengers arriving from countries of the dark red category, upon presentation of student documents or enrollment documents, with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result issued at most 72 hours before departure and the subsequent 14-day quarantine. Employees (including their families and children) who already have a work permit in North Cyprus are allowed to enter the country subject to a 14-day quarantine. Employees wishing to enter the country with prior authorization as part of a commitment signed by business owners with the Ministry of Health will be able to enter the country provided they are quarantined for 14 days.
  • red – with a certificate of vaccination, passengers must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result issued at most 72 hours before departure; passengers without a vaccination certificate must have a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test, with seven days of quarantine;
  • orange – passengers must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result issued at most 72 hours before departure, with 5 days of quarantine and, at the end of it, an additional PCR test is required, or without quarantine, with a certificate of vaccination;
  • green – for passengers with a vaccination certificate, entry without restrictions; passengers without a vaccination certificate, must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result issued at most 72 hours before departure, without quarantine.

The color of each country will depend on the number of new cases of COVID-19 infection and will be updated weekly. * Authorities will take into account the color of the country of initial departure in which the passenger has been for at least ten days, not the country of transit.

With the rapid spread of the Delta variant worldwide, passengers are required to undergo a Сoronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test upon arrival in the country. For the dark red and red categories, everyone must pass the PCR test on arrival, regardless of whether or not they have a certificate of vaccination, for the orange category, only unvaccinated ones, and for the green category, testing is not required. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), as of November 14, the Delta variant was detected in at least 174 countries worldwide.

Travelers who tested positive for Covid-19 PCR 30-180 days before travel must submit evidence of their positive PCR test before entry.

People who have had Covid-19 disease more than 6 months ago will be considered vaccinated if they receive 1 dose of the vaccine.
