Fixed rate for rent

The Government of Northern Cyprus fixed the rate for rent.

The decree was published in the «Official Gazette» to fix the exchange rate due to instability of the Turkish lira and uncertainty with foreign currency.

According to the decision, the rent will be paid at a fixed rate, provided that the rent is in foreign currency.

This decree will be in force from December 1, 2021, to February 28, 2022:

GBP – 12 Turkish Lira;

EUR – 11 Turkish Lira;

USD – 10 Turkish Lira;

If the lessor refuses and asks to receive the rent at the regular rate, you must pay through the post office by registered mail to exercise the right to pay the rate set for you by the state.
