Guidelines for home quarantine in North Cyprus

On April 12, 2021, the Ministry of Health of Northern Cyprus launched a home quarantine program with electronic bracelets.

To apply for home quarantine, it is necessary to download the mobile application «Stay Safe» on your mobile phone (iOS, Android) and pass the procedure of registration and payment before arriving at the TRNC. The quarantine process will start after pairing and activation by the responsible personnel. Within the allotted time, you need to go to the place where you will undergo home quarantine and mark your location in the application. Children under 12 don’t wear bracelets.

The quarantine tracking system is a paid application. The cost is 750 TL, of which 350 TL is a deposit for an electronic bracelet. The deposit will be refunded to the credit card upon the return of the electronic bracelet. Payment must be made by credit card.

The main criterion for the necessity and duration of home quarantine is the host country within the last ten days before arrival in Northern Cyprus. For non-compliance with quarantine and self-isolation rules, you will be sent to central quarantine at your expense, with the imposition of administrative fines, and it is also possible to initiate criminal cases by the current legislation of the TRNC.

Quarantine process:

During quarantine, you cannot leave the marked location.
It is forbidden to remove the bracelet from your hand or damage it.
Your phone must be constantly connected to the Internet.
The application «Stay Safe» must always be running.

Required Documentation:

Identity document;
Information about the place of residence;
Mobile phone number and address of stay in home quarantine in the TRNC;
Information about previous trips;
Negative test result for COVID-19 in the last three days;
Full name and passport data of persons in-home quarantine (with signatures of persons);
Also, information about the purpose for which you went abroad / place of stay (hotel) or home address (by registration).
